You must pass your German exam soon but your learning sessions aren’t efficient enough? What about a change of scenery? Just sitting in front of your desk or in the library where you can’t even yawn loudly does not seem like the best solution.
In this post we will present five really cool locations, where you can study in a nice atmosphere but also have a good time during your study-breaks.
If you like structure you will feel comfortable here. The Cocoquadrat is Vienna’s first cowork-café and offers working spaces on two levels. The atmosphere reminds of the young start-up scene with the latest technologies and enough room for creative brainstorming. In case you get tired or start having problems with your concentration there is also a coffee bar, which offers tasty snacks. For meetings or larger study groups, the café also provides special rooms, which must be reserved in advance.

One could say it is the classic among the learning cafés in Vienna. There are walls full of books, which is why you immediately get into a study-mood. For studying, you should come here during the day because it can get very loud in the evenings when students meethere for hanging out. In the top part, there are large tables, which are ideal for group work. After an effective learning session, you should reward yourself with a break and maybe a good drink. Oh, and another really cool thing: if you like the furniture, you can buy it and take it at home on the spot.

The cultural center Café 7Stern is located right in the hip area of Vienna, the 7th district. The advantages for all learners: a high room with large windows, plenty of daylight, cool seats and large tables for your books and laptop and the WiFi works quite fast. In summer, there is also a small but really nice outdoor area. For lunch, they offer a delicious menu, which also students can afford. On weekends a lot of people come here for breakfast, so you should schedule your study units during the week.

The cafe is not only super comfortable, but also really stylish. As the name suggests you can also buy their furniture, which is why the interior design changes frequently. For your learning sessions, the cafe offers huge tables and many power sockets, in case the laptop battery runs out. The WiFi is fast and for some refreshment in between, they prepare fresh juices every day and provide you with an excellent espresso.

The Café Europa is a popular meeting place among students. If you are lucky, you might get a table right at the window and enjoy some hours of sunshine while studying. If you are a night owl and your memory works best at night, you will be fine here. The café offers hot dishes until four o’clock in the morning. Because it is really busy on weekends, you should come here during the week and prepare for your exams then.

The hotel is located in the middle of the 7th district next to “Mariahilferstraße” between the “Museumsquartier” and “Westbahnhof”. Surrounded by pubs, museums, galleries and major attractions, the hotel is also an insider tip for those who are looking for a nice place to study or work. The restaurant inside the hotel provides many small tables with enough space in between. If you are not sitting next to a power socket, you will be equipped with an extension cable by the staff. You should schedule your study session for the morning because then you have the chance to enjoy some delicacies from the tasty breakfast buffet.
