The composer Johann Strauss and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart are famous all over the globe. Our students had the pleasure of listening to their compositions at a magnificent concert at Vienna’s Hofburg Palace.
Being known as the world’s capital of music, many famous musicians have lived and worked in Vienna over the past few centuries. Even today, you can find numerous monuments remembering Joseph Haydn, Ludwig van Beethoven, Johann Strauss and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Vienna’s Hofburg Orchestra has been playing the most famous waltz and opera pieces since 1971. Its programme is composed of the “king of waltz” Strauss, Franz Lehár, as well as arias by Mozart.
A concert at the Hofburg Palace
Our students used the opportunity and visited a Strauss and Mozart concert within the famous Redoutensäle at the Hofburg Palace. The enchanting concert took place in the very halls that saw world premieres of pieces by Beethoven and Franz Schubert.
The experience was quite engaging, as the soloists and conductor kept the audience well entertained. Time just flew by, and our students will surely remember this evening for time to come.
